Ferry Flight Day One

Thoroughly soaked in the heat and humidity before even arriving at the airport, we managed to get the birds packed and running and airborne before lunch.  The flight up to Libreville was hazy and not much for taking photos, but at last we were finally underway.  Arriving in LBV, the tower had us park way out in the boonies of the airport, then the fun began.  While waiting for fuel we figured we'd try to assure our exit permits were in order.  Then began a quest that had us laughing as every office we visited, often on opposite sides of the airport, on foot, told us that someone else had our paperwork, and after finding that person, we'd invariably get sent back to the person that passed us on previously.  We eventually got to the bottom of it all and required paperwork in hand, started trying to organize a customs inspection and immigration paperwork.  We all thought we'd have to spend a full day at the Liberian Embassy in Libreville to secure our transit visas, but we were delighted to discover that the company had hired someone to sort it all out for us!  So we just hand in some paperwork, copies of our passports, some photos, and sit pool side all day and drink G&Ts while some other poor sod waits in line.  We hope to get going Northward to Nigeria and then turning Westward before the weekend.
