Bad ass crew....

We've got a great bunch of guys on this Gabon crew, bringing a ton of real world experience to the table.  Too bad we'll be scattered to the four winds here in short order.  Things are definitely winding down.  Everyone is hoping for further opportunities in the industry, but most are developing alternate plans, just in case.  Some figure it's inevitable.  I know some very experienced offshore pilots now installing carpets with their brothers, or trying their hand at selling real estate, or perhaps taking a break and redoing their floors.  A few are unloading expensive houses and looking at something more modest, in different neighbourhoods.  Unfortunately the market is in a sorry state.

That's me, last flight to this particular rig.  Most days are now spent prepping for the ferry trip up to Poland.  If everything goes off as planned it could be epic.  I don't want to get too excited just yet, as in this industry the entire situation can change direction overnight, so prepare for the worst and hope for the best.  For the most part, we are way ahead of the game.

I've got a pair of Clothing Arts pants with me this tour that I had seen advertised in Overland Journal, thinking I'd see how they'd fare in this hot muggy climate.  The pants are quite good, and tough as nails, and you could hide just about anything in these babies, never mind the DPx knife buried in my pocket.  I'll be wearing them on the ferry trip to Poland.  While I'm selling my soul, I might as well plug my awesome flying/hiking/hunting boots too!  Courteney.  From Zimbabwe. Highly recommended.
